President and Owner
Hi. My name is Brad Winkler. I first visited The Villages in 2005 and I knew then that I always wanted to move here one day. Owning and operating Battery Boys was the perfect opportunity to accelerate those plans.
I have been an entrepreneur the last 19+ years, having owned another business. I am no stranger to owning and running a business plus all the long hours that go with it. I am also a graduate of Georgia State University with a BBA in Business Management.
Here at Battery Boys we are always seeking ways to improve our service and our products. We have become the largest Trojan Battery dealer in this area thanks to customers who demand only the best. We are excited about additional business prospects that we are working with other service providers to bring new and innovative products to Battery Boys customers.
My staff of service professionals and I are ready to serve your golf cart needs.
Yes, I am a second generation Battery Boy.
Currently I’m working part time while I pursue a B.S. degree in Business at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
My background the last 7 years has been working as a certified pharmacy technician. I have been trained to give great customer service and to help people get questions answered and setting up appointments. I am more than happy to assist anyone in whatever battery needs you have so that you are confident you will get exactly what you need for your cart.
It is a pleasure to be working for Battery Boys. I have worked in environments where customer service was the number one priority. I love the fact that Battery Boys believes in the same concept. I love being out in the field working first hand with our customers and helping them set up their carts properly.
I was born and raised in Florida so this is my home. I have lived in other parts of the country but feel its a joy to be back in Florida and working for Battery Boys
I look forward to meeting as many people in our service area and hope to be the technician assigned to your cart.
My name is Sean Kennedy. I wanted to join Battery Boys long before I was able to join the team. I enjoy the work ethic that exists here where not only the customers come first but the employees are also valued for their contributions.
I have worked for a couple companies in this area that promote products to The Villages so I know the type of service residents here have come to expect. It is a joy to be given the opportunity to serve this community and the surrounding area.
I have had a long background plus a personal interest in working on mechanical vehicles. Where other may not want to spend their day working on golf carts to me it is almost like working on my hobbies.
I hope to be the technician assigned to work on your cart.
My name is Mike Phelps (yes, now you know two people with that famous name). I know the Winkler’s through my church and when I heard they were hiring I expressed an interest in joining them and I’m glad I did. When most of my friends have to work mundane jobs I get to work with products and equipment that seem more like career opportunities.
In 2018 I entered into Lake Sumter State College pursuing an AS in Relay Tech Specialization. Since it will be a couple years before I graduate I want to make Battery Boys my home. I enjoy the variety of work and getting the chance to work with customers when they arrive at our shop.
If you have questions or chargers that need to be tested stop by our shop, I’ll be happy to greet you and do my best to resolve your needs.
