Brad Winkler

President and Owner

Hi. My name is Brad Winkler. I have been life long friends with David and Sandi Vanderwall. When David told me that he and Ken wanted to step out of the daily role of managing Battery Boys, I knew I wanted to take on the challenge.

I have been an entrepreneur the last 18+ years, having owned another business. I am no stranger to owning and running a business plus all the long hours that go with it.

I earned a BBA degree in Business Management from Georgia State University.

I first visited The Villages in 2005 and I knew then that I always wanted to move here one day. Owning and operating Battery Boys was the perfect opportunity I was looking for.

My staff of service professionals and I are ready to serve your golf cart needs.

Yes, I am a second generation Battery Boy.

Currently I’m working part time while I pursue a B.S. degree in Business at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

My background the last 7 years has been working as a certified pharmacy technician. I have been trained to give great customer service and to help people get questions answered and setting up appointments. I am more than happy to assist anyone in whatever battery needs you have so that you are confident you will get exactly what you need for your cart.

It is a pleasure to be working for Battery Boys. I have worked in environments where customer service was the number one priority. I love the fact that Battery Boys believes in the same concept. I love being out in the field working first hand with our customers and helping them set up their carts properly.

I was born and raised in Florida so this is my home. I have lived in other parts of the country but feel its a joy to be back in Florida and working for Battery Boys

I look forward to meeting as many people in our service area and hope to be the technician assigned to your cart.

I am closing in on graduating from The Villages High School and have enrolled in a local college so that I can further my education and still be able to work for Battery Boys. Where most kids my age have to settle for less than glamorous jobs I count it all blessings to learn a skill that will aid me in my future.

I enjoy being part of an organization that prides itself on making sure every customer is treated respectfully and that we give each the best service we know how to give.

I have a brother who is deaf so as a result I am fluent using sign language. If anyone who is deaf or hearing impaired needs someone to sign for them, I am generally at Battery Boys from 3 to 5 PM each day. I am more than happy to assist you.
